Tel Aviv Fashion Week on  2012 The local designers presenting their summer 2012 collections and designers in Sasson Kedem, Mira Zwillinger, Dorin Frankfurt, Galit Levy, Gideon Oberson, Shai Shalom and Alon Livne fashion works from the Shenkar fashion school. The guest of honor is Italian designer Roberto Cavalli will display his summer 2012 collection. The focus will be on Israeli design but surely taking its place behind the marquee Paris, New York and Milan magnets. Cavalli staged a runway show in Tel Aviv, which is currently holding its first fashion week in over 30 years. The fashion industry is alive and active in Israeli designers rarely play a role on the international stage. This week they’ve got the world’s attention, as Israel is staging a major fashion week in cooperation with Italy. Italy’s biggest names showed his wares on a runway at Jaffa’s historical Railway Station.
