Valentino Couture Collection 2012

The cryptic Surrealist paintings of the twentieth century Belgian artist Paul Delvaux a flock of young women in pale turn of the century gowns walking with portraits of Marie Antoinette. She was a young Austrian princess stills from the opulent 1938 MGM blockbuster that cast Norma Shearer.  The grown is version of the ill fated French queen. The exquisite couture collection created by designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. The clothes also referenced some of Valentino’s own giddily romantic clothes from the early 1970s in the use of faded flower sprigged organza and lace. The designers used printed taffetas of the sort that Marie Antoinette and her ladies favored for frolics at Le Petit Trianon with subtle foliate motifs and an eighteenth century toile representing Africa for a strapless ball dress. The models arrived in the latest Maria Barros designs made a dramatic impact when they took to the catwalk at Madrid Fashion Week. The silver haired foxes were certainly tresses to impress as they sashayed down the runway in Barros’s autumn winter collection in the Spanish city. The grey wigs and simple makeup appear to represent a new creative on the runway of Barros. She revealed her 2012-2013 collection. Designer play with wool and silk in neutral colours with shades of black, white, grey gave way to greens and burgundy with some featuring a splash of gold. Armani Prive spring 2012 Couture collection

The worlds of fashion and show business collided at Giorgio Armani’s couture fashion show. The show started Jessica Chastain settled in the front row heard that she’d been nominated for an Oscar. There were cheers but Chastain held back the tears till Armani himself presented her with a massive bouquet backstage after the show. On the runway, the snake sheds skin and the butterfly emerges from a chrysalis. It natural processes influenced the silhouettes of the collection. Skirts were deeply folded like a pod. Istanbul Fashion week 2012

The 27 year old Lizzie Jagger appeared on the catwalk at Istanbul Fashion Week, February 2012. She proved her modeling career is still going strong with an appearance on the catwalk. Lizzie eldest daughter of Rolling Stone Mick and Jerry Hall walked for Turkish designer Atil Kutoglu. Jagger wore three outfits including a long embellished black gown and a leather dress for the fashion show. She joined the designer and singer Jermaine Jackson, who was also modeling.
