Madrid Fashion Week 2012


The models arrived in the latest Maria Barros designs made a dramatic impact when they took to the catwalk at Madrid Fashion Week. The silver haired foxes were certainly tresses to impress as they sashayed down the runway in Barros’s autumn winter collection in the Spanish city. The grey wigs and simple makeup appear to represent a new creative on the runway of Barros. She revealed her 2012-2013 collection. Designer play with wool and silk in neutral colours with shades of black, white, grey gave way to greens and burgundy with some featuring a splash of gold. Designer Maria Barros said ‘through this collection, I tell a story, my story with my world.’

She is not the first designer to use grey haired models. Calvin Klein unveiled his collection with silver haired models praised in equal measure for attempting to break the last taboo of women’s fashion. David Delfin is one of the youngest designers that are really loved in Spain. People and celebrities are most awaited shows each season during Madrid’s fashion week. The youthful collection played it safe bur original looking at David’s present situation in the crisis with pieces in basic colors like black, white and blue marine with golden details given by the zippers. The catwalk ended with a unique mini concert with famous celebrities Bimba Bose, Alaska y and Mario Vaquerizo that put the audience to dance with song.
