Armani Prive spring 2012 Couture collection


The worlds of fashion and show business collided at Giorgio Armani’s couture fashion show. The show started Jessica Chastain settled in the front row heard that she’d been nominated for an Oscar. There were cheers but Chastain held back the tears till Armani himself presented her with a massive bouquet backstage after the show. On the runway, the snake sheds skin and the butterfly emerges from a chrysalis. It natural processes influenced the silhouettes of the collection. Skirts were deeply folded like a pod. The evening pieces were sequined bodice slithered out of swag of silk.

Designer’s new accessories in the color palette starred the same absinthe bright, disconcerting green of Mocafico’s snakes. The prints had the same coiled intensity and the shiny fabrics duplicated the soft sheen of snakeskin. The jackets and skirts looked like reptile scales. The crocodile was obviously the real thing. The other message of the couture show was manmade a shrugged off casualness, jackets, hair tousled.  The strong contrast made for a strong show. Jessica Chastain believes in lucky charms. I know what she’ll be wearing come red carpet event.

The 27 year old singer Katy Perry made her first public appearance since Russell Brand filed for divorce on December 30. She arrived in blue hair and black dress with her jewellery designer friend Markus Molinari at a charity event in Las Vegas. Singer always supports to stylish wear and she wore snug embellished mini dress and sky high stiletto sandals. The outfit was fairly mundane compared to her usual ensembles but her blue hair added more than enough colour to balance out the rest of her look. The models arrived in the latest Maria Barros designs made a dramatic impact when they took to the catwalk at Madrid Fashion Week. The silver haired foxes were certainly tresses to impress as they sashayed down the runway in Barros’s autumn winter collection in the Spanish city. The grey wigs and simple makeup appear to represent a new creative on the runway of Barros. She revealed her 2012-2013 collection. Designer play with wool and silk in neutral colours with shades of black, white, grey gave way to greens and burgundy with some featuring a splash of gold.
