Popular designers presented many collections on Lakme Fashion week winter festival 2011. The fashion show opened with white and black section. There were mix of women’s and men’s collections as long gowns with tiny embroidered boleros, mandarin collar waist coat with black and white motifs, bodice and paneled sheer kurta with black and white churidars. The Sepia accessories had delicate brown, extended sleeve kurtas, white work for printed saris with crystal work. The cholis and lehengas net dupattas and embroidered skillful for men’s Raja coats with black colors.

Valaya started the red for paneled long coats, bandgalas, velvet embroidered jackets, lehengas with embellished. They also added digitally saris in black dappled and royal blue with pink. The stones and sequins finished with a stunning floor length kurta in blue. Designer Valaya showed saris, tunics and lehengas while the lush saris in this fashion festival studded with precious stones were visions of beauty in white and black prints. The Gleaming crystals, gorgeous lehengas with velvet godets and gold detailing came with fabrics. The silhouettes were a fusion of the traditional like tiered creations were layered and flowing farshiyas presented a royal touch of the garments.

Designer kept the most awesome for the last like he unleashed a final blitz of lehengas and other different versions of the Alika jacket in shot silk and raw silk. Designer Pallavi used a vibrant colour with sunny orange, red, indigo and mix with touches of beige and clay red. Her collections were drapes, cowls, shifts for new dresses, panels for jackets. Her dresses colors were a mélange of Indian textiles and the silhouettes were a blend of the ethnic. The ranged from coins, antique gold dori work, pin tucks, Japanese floral with the use of once extinct Japanese pattern. The latest collection was dramatic on all fronts.

Tulisa Contostavlos lead the charge of over the top glamour at the National Television Awards in London. The star stole the spotlight on the red carpet in a hot pink feathered number. The models arrived in the latest Maria Barros designs made a dramatic impact when they took to the catwalk at Madrid Fashion Week. The silver haired foxes were certainly tresses to impress as they sashayed down the runway in Barros’s autumn winter collection in the Spanish city.
