Latest running Lakme fashion week in designer Debarun Mukerjee presented their collection for women and men wear as traditional layered lehengas, saris, gowns to sherwanis, dresses, bundgalas with kurtas. The collection moved effortless from ethnic chic to fusion fantasy. Designer used the primary for the collection as Chanderi, base net, raw silk with silk. Designer Mukerjee presented great collection with black and white. Men’s wear entries comprised Chanderi long shirt kurta, kurta with fitted pants, sharply cut jackets teamed the dhoti and embossed sherwani with black dhoti pants. Men’s sherwanis jodhpurs with assorted glittering embellishments were teamed with skin tight pants.

Women’s wear in embellishments and stylish sari appeared with puffed long sleeve blouse. In the runway highlights were the long white tunic with black horizontal stripes and the white kerchief tunic clothes with a matching sequined bikini. Lakme fashion festival in the final entry designer Debarun turned purely western with a white Cinderella gown and shaded multi colors giant paisleys on the skirt. Designers Shyamal and Bhumika created new accessories at Lakme fashion week. Their collections are especially for bridal with symphony of style, fabrics, colours, silhouettes and rich embellishments. The silhouettes inspired by traditional garments like chogas, achkan, jamas, paneled lehengas and cholis on the runway.

The creations that glided down on the runway were visions of utter beauty with new style. Women’s wear was a profusion of the exquisite net lehengas with gold petticoats, saris with glittering broad borders and long shirt teamed, long line tulle kurta with ornate yoke and gold bikini style tops under floor length. Women’s kurtis came with flared shararas while Anarkalis gracefully on the floor, slim sherwanis looked great with diaphanous skirts. Cholis were sensuous with paneled lehengas. The colour palette stretched from blue, honey gold, wine cream, aurora and beet red to burnt orange, gold, peacock green, copper, brown, jet black, ink blue with lilac.
