Nandita collection, latest fashion week 2011
The drama and music of the Puccini opera and designer Nandita creativity moved in a Victorian era. Designer dreamt up a line of more beautiful titled ‘La Tosca Du Mumbai.’ Designer presented the fashion traits of Mumbai with the costumes of the opera Victorian Silhouettes. Designer Nandita Thirani showed gorgeous creations at Lakme Fashion Week 2011. Double georgettes, Velvets, satins in luxurious colours of cobalt, black, crimson, blue were embellished with a striking vine and floral designs in Badla and bullion work. They used cleverly for velvet dresses on the neckline while black skirts were teamed with sheer shirts.

The black net long maxi skirt with short mini, the two toned asymmetric maxi and the loose pajama with the Kalidar kurta fitted in the inspiration for the designer. The Kimono style shaded tasseled shoulder interest for a kurta was a perfect from designer Nandita. Designer created a line as a bridge offering who will move effortlessly from semi formal to evening outfit. Designer Preeti Kapoor created the beauty of the 19th century era. She moved from the stylish city of Kolkata with swinging life of France. Designer Preeti preferred shararas, lehengas, saris with anarkalis and she give a dramatic touch to the creations. She worked with traditional ornamentation and highlight the mover beautiful lavish fabrics.

Zari, Gold and Resham stones were turned in beautiful motifs that dazzled under the ramp. They used the bold, rusty orange, red, lavish, green, cream gold, blue and yellow with intricate embroidery. Designer used rich fabrics as velvets, silks, nets, tulles that were in saris on borders and pallavs glamorous swirling panels for long full skirts and cholis. Her final segment was Paris they used the satin trims in shades of cream with ivory for a glittering bridal collection. Zari and Crystals for sleeves, lean sherwanis and sexy choils were accompanied of multi colours flowers. These were splashed on the garments while the twinkling waist belts with saris were great addition.

Tulisa Contostavlos lead the charge of over the top glamour at the National Television Awards in London. The star stole the spotlight on the red carpet in a hot pink feathered number. The models arrived in the latest Maria Barros designs made a dramatic impact when they took to the catwalk at Madrid Fashion Week. The silver haired foxes were certainly tresses to impress as they sashayed down the runway in Barros’s autumn winter collection in the Spanish city.
